For the second time in five weeks, a New York team sent Monday Night Football spiraling to its biggest decline of the season.
The Week 13 Dolphins/Jets Monday Night Football game drew a 7.4 final rating and 11.8 million viewers on ESPN, down 24% in ratings and viewership from Saints/Seahawks last year (9.7, 15.5M) and down 27% in both measures from Giants/Washington in 2012 (10.2, 16.2M).
Monday’s game had the largest year-over-year decline in ratings and viewership on ESPN this season, topping the previous marks set by Giants/Colts in Week 9 (-23% in both measures).
All four MNF games to feature the Giants or Jets have had declines in ratings and viewership compared to last year, with three of the four down double-digits. By comparison, only three of the ten non-N.Y. telecasts have had declines, with two by double-digits.
Among adults 18-49, MNF had a 4.1 rating — down 24% from last year (5.4) and down 32% from 2012 (6.0).
