Overnight ratings climbed double-digits for coverage of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Pebble Beach National Pro-Am drew a 2.6 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, up 24% from coverage opposite the Olympics last year (2.1) but down 10% from 2013 (2.9).
The telecast earned the weekend’s second-highest overnight for a sporting event on broadcast, trailing only NASCAR’s Sprint Unlimited on FOX (3.2). Keep in mind NBA All-Star Weekend aired on cable, with both the Saturday and Sunday night events earning a higher overnight (4.4 and 5.5, respectively).
Third round coverage on Saturday drew a 1.8 overnight, up 64% from last year (1.1) and even with 2013.
