Overnight ratings declined just barely for Sunday’s FOX NFL doubleheader.
The Week 11 NFL national window, featuring Packers/Vikings in 89% of markets, drew a 17.0 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon — down a tick from coverage featuring Eagles/Packers last year (17.1) and up 2% from coverage featuring 49ers/Saints in 2013 (16.7).
The 17.0 is the fifth-highest of the season for any NFL telecast, trailing only Seahawks/Cowboys on FOX in Week 8 (19.5), Patriots/Giants on CBS in Week 10 (18.3), Cowboys/Eagles on FOX in Week 2 (17.8) and the Steelers/Patriots Kickoff Game on NBC (17.7).
As goes without saying, it was easily the top NFL telecast of the day. Barring an unusual performance by Monday Night Football, the national window will have earned the top overnight in ten of eleven weeks this season.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Washington/Panthers drew a 9.9 overnight — down 2% from coverage featuring Seahawks/Chiefs last year (10.1) and down 6% from coverage featuring Washington/Eagles in 2013 (10.5).
