With the biggest NFC game airing on NBC, FOX posted a pair of declines for its Week 17 doubleheader.
The Week 17 NFL national window on FOX, featuring Seahawks/Cardinals in 51% of markets, had a 14.0 overnight rating Sunday afternoon — down 17% from coverage featuring Lions/Packers last year (16.9) and down 8% from coverage featuring Packers/Bears in 2013 (15.2).
The 14.0 is the lowest for the Week 17 national window on FOX in four years, since coverage featuring Panthers/Saints in the 2011-12 season (11.9). The telecast faced tougher competition from the CBS regional window, featuring Broncos/Chargers, which increased 66% from last year.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Washington/Cowboys drew an 8.7 overnight — down 17% from coverage from both last year, which featured the same matchup, and 2013 (10.5 both years). The 8.7 was the lowest of the five Week 17 telecast windows.
