Sunday’s Rangers/Flyers game drew a 3.6 rating on CSN Philadelphia, the highest rating for a regular season Flyers game on the network since ’02. Ratings peaked at a 5.9 at 5:30 PM local time.
In New York, Sunday’s game drew a 2.7 rating on MSG, with a peak of 4.5 during overtime and the subsequent shootout.
In other local NHL news, the Penguins finished the 2009-10 season with an 8.2 average rating on FSN Pittsburgh — up 17% from last year (7.0), and the highest average rating ever for regular season Penguins games on the network.
The 8.2 rating ranks as the highest for any U.S. based NHL team during the 2009-10 season.
