One of the most recognizable voices in Major League Baseball will be sidelined for the next three months.
Brewers Hall of Fame play-by-play voice Bob Uecker will have heart surgery on Friday. Uecker, 75, will miss the next 10-12 weeks.
Uecker is in his 40th year as the radio voice of the Brewers. In previous years, he worked games nationally for ABC and NBC, serving as part of the broadcast team for four World Series across the two networks.
Outside of sports, Uecker has also had a career as an actor, making appearances in the movie Major League and the sitcom Mr. Belvedere.
