The latest edition of the Florida/Tennessee rivalry scored a solid increase in overnights.
Florida/Tennessee scored a 3.7 overnight rating on Saturday’s edition of the SEC on CBS, up 16% from the same matchup last year (3.2) but down 28% from Florida/Alabama in 2014 (5.1). The 3.7 is the highest for the rivalry since 2009 (4.8).
The Volunteers’ comeback win was the highest rated college football game of the weekend in the metered markets, ranking well ahead of second-place Stanford/UCLA on ABC’s Saturday Night Football (2.8). The SEC on CBS has now won two straight weeks.
Head-to-head, Saturday’s game comfortably topped Penn State/Michigan on ABC (2.4) and Duke/Notre Dame on NBC (1.9).
