Despite a seemingly marquee matchup, the NFL singleheader tied its lowest overnight of the season.
The Week 7 NFL singleheader window, featuring Vikings/Eagles in 46% of markets or Chargers/Falcons in 26%, had a 10.2 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon — down 16% from last year (12.2) and down 4% from 2014 (10.6), both of which aired on CBS.
The 10.2 is tied as the lowest for the singleheader this season, regardless of network, matching coverage on CBS in Week 1. It is also the lowest for a singleheader on FOX since Week 16 in 2014 (10.0) and the lowest for a singleheader in Week 7 of the season since coverage on CBS in 2009 (7.5).
Of the 43* NFL windows this season, Sunday’s telecast was the 32nd to post a decline in the overnights and the 29th to hit a multi-year low.
* Excludes Dolphins/Bengals on NFL Network in Week 4, overnights for which were not available.
