A Pac-12 upset with playoff implications helped FOX deliver one of its best college football overnights.
Saturday’s USC/Washington college football game had a 3.1 overnight rating on FOX, up 55% from Oregon/Stanford last year (2.0), up 121% from K-State/TCU in 2014 (1.4), and the network’s second-best overnight of the season behind Ohio State/Oklahoma in week three (3.8).
Excluding conference championship and bowl games, the 3.1 is the sixth-highest ever for college football on FOX — behind Ohio State/Oklahoma, Notre Dame/Stanford last year (4.7), Michigan State/Oregon in 2014 (4.0) and both USC/Oregon (3.5) and West Virginia/Texas (3.2) in 2012.
The Trojans’ upset of the #4 Huskies ranked third for the weekend among college football games, trailing Michigan/Iowa head-to-head (4.0) and Pittsburgh/Clemson earlier in the day (3.3), both of which aired on ABC.
