It was a forgettable weekend for the SEC on CBS.
Auburn/Georgia earned a 2.9 overnight rating on the latest edition of the SEC on CBS, down 17% from Alabama/Mississippi State last year (3.5) and down 36% from Texas A&M/Auburn in 2014 (4.5). The 2.9 ranks seventh out of the 13 SEC on CBS windows this year, smack in the middle of the road.
The Bulldogs’ surprise win was topped head-to-head by Pittsburgh’s upset of Clemson on ABC (3.3).
Earlier in the day, South Carolina/Florida had a 1.6 overnight — down 20% from Georgia/Auburn last year (2.0) and tied as the lowest SEC overnight on CBS this season. Kentucky/Florida also had a 1.6 in week two.
Florida has now played in four of the six lowest rated SEC windows on CBS this season.
