Carter Finds Landing Spot at FS1
- Former ESPN NFL analyst Cris Carter has joined Fox Sports 1 in the same capacity, the network said in a Tuesday press release. Carter, who worked for ESPN from 2008 through last season, will make daily appearances on the various FS1 studio shows. Carter was the source of controversy during his ESPN career, most recently in 2014 when video leaked of him advising young NFL players to have a “fall guy” in case they got in legal trouble. Stewart-Binks Moves From FOX to ESPN
- ESPN announced Monday that it has hired Fox Sports broadcaster Julie Stewart-Binks to serve as a sideline reporter for its soccer coverage. Stewart-Binks, who had been with Fox Sports since 2011, will work Major League soccer and U.S. national team games starting with next year’s MLS season opener. (ESPN Media Zone 12/12)
Iverson to Appear on ESPN’s NBA Pregame
- Former 76ers G and Basketball Hall of Famer Allen Iverson will be a guest on ESPN’s NBA Countdown pregame show Friday. Iverson, who will appear via satellite from Philadlephia, will join ESPN’s usual Friday night cast of host Michelle Beadle and analysts Jalen Rose and Chauncey Billups.
