While ratings dropped over 30% on CBS, coverage of the PGA Championship held up well on TNT.
Final round coverage of the PGA Championship drew a 1.6 U.S. rating and 2.256 million viewers on TNT Sunday, even in ratings and up slightly in viewership from last year (1.6, 2.235 mil).
Meanwhile, Saturday’s third round coverage drew a 1.4 rating and 1.987 million viewers, up 8% and 11%, respectively, from last year.
Thursday’s first round coverage had the biggest increases of all — drawing a 1.1 and 1.450 million viewers, up 22% in both ratings and viewership from last year (0.9, 1.187 mil).
The increases were not across the board, however. Friday’s second round action drew a 1.3 and 1.833 million viewers, down 24% in both ratings and viewership from last year (1.7, 2.404 mil).
