- Dick Versace: The former NBA on TNT analyst and NBA coach is considering a run for Congress. The 67-year-old Versace would run as a Democrat, explaining his motivations thusly: “What drives me is the opportunity to do something I feel is important … We want to extricate ourselves in the proper manner from this war.”
- JP Dellacamera: Will be the lead play-by-play voice of the Women’s World Cup on ESPN/ESPN2 this September. Dellacamera will work with analyst Julie Foudy; appointed ESPN soccer voice Dave O’Brien will have no role in the coverage.
- Lance Armstrong: The seven-time Tour de France champion managed to tame MSNBC host Chris Matthews during the presidential forum on cancer. Armstrong told the Hardball host to “be a little nicer? after Matthews was “especially aggressive” when talking to presidential hopeful Sam Brownback.
