Pro football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice will reportedly be the newest member of ESPN’s ever-expanding NFL analyst line-up.
ESPN has hired Rice as an NFL analyst, Sports Illustrated reported Monday. He is scheduled to make his debut on September 15.
According to the report, Rice will contribute to NFL Live, SportsCenter, and Audibles, and will be “based on the West Coast” (Sports Illustrated, 8/8).
The move is expected to be announced later this week.
Rice is the fourth new ESPN NFL analyst hired this month alone, joining Hugh Douglas, Eric Mangini and Damien Woody.
Douglas made his first on-air appearance last Monday and Woody and Mangini will start next week.
