For the first time in three years, a World Series game has been postponed due to rain.
Game 6 of the Rangers/Cardinals World Series has been postponed to Thursday night due to rain. The postponement is the first in the World Series since 2008, when Rays/Phillies Game 5 was suspended in the fifth inning and did not resume until two nights later.
Due to the postponement, a possible Game 7 would take place on Friday night.
The last Friday night World Series game was Game 5 of the 2006 series, in which the Cardinals clinched the championship.
