Coverage of Wimbledon was averaging 759,000 viewers on the ESPN networks through the quarterfinals, up 24% from last year and the networks’ highest average at this point of the tournament.

On Wednesday, Novak Djokovic’s five-set win over Felix Auger-Aliassime averaged 1.1 million, peaking at 1.5 million in the 5:45 PM ET quarter-hour.

Tuesday’s second day of Wimbledon averaged 604,000 viewers on ESPN, which the network says is the largest audience for day two — excluding years when it coincided with the July 4 holiday — since 2007. Viewership increased nearly 50 percent from last year’s 409,000.

The first two days of Wimbledon have averaged 571,000 viewers on ESPN, up 43% from last year.

Monday’s opening day of the Wimbledon tennis tournament averaged 539,000 viewers on ESPN, which the network says is the largest audience for the opening day of play since it began airing the event in 2003.

Compared to last year’s opening day, viewership increased 37 percent from 393,000.
