For the first time all season, Monday Night Football saw a rise in television ratings. Last night’s Patriots/Bengals rout drew a 9.1 overnight on ESPN, up 2% from an 8.9 overnight for Packers/Eagles last year.
Ratings for the one-game playoff between the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres are currently unavailable.
Through five telecasts, ESPN is averaging an 8.2 metered market rating for Monday Night Football, down 10% from a 9.1 metered market average at the same point last year.
