- The Seminoles could not quite measure up to the rival Gators, as Florida State’s late afternoon victory over Alabama marked a 23% decline from the comparable Florida/Alabama game in ’06.
- FOX: A big bump for NFL coverage on FOX Sunday, as the 10.6 overnight for regional coverage marked a 16% increase from a 9.1 last year. FOX NFL Sunday also trounced The NFL Today by 27%.
- NBC: For the fourth time in five games, Sunday Night Football sees declining ratings. The 10.8 overnight for Eagles/Giants is an 8% decline from the 11.7 overnight for Seahawks/Bears in 2006. Football Night in America also fell by 11% from last year.
- ABC: The good news? Ratings for coverage in the 3:30 PM window increased by a staggering 50%, from a 3.2 in ’06 to a 4.8. The bad news? Saturday Night Football, featuring USC/Washington, saw an 18% drop from the comparable Ohio State/Iowa game last year.

- While rain may have been a major culprit, there can be no denying that NASCAR is in a major slump on ABC. The rain-plagued LifeLock 400 drew a 2.8 overnight on Sunday, down 18% from a 3.4 overnight for comparable coverage last year. The 2.8 ties this year’s Sylvania 300 as the lowest overnight ever for a Chase for the Cup race.

- Coverage of the President’s Cup saw double-digit declines for NBC. Final round coverage drew a 2.6 overnight, down 16% from a 3.1 in 2005; third round coverage saw smaller declines, as ratings fell 12% from a 2.5 in ’05 to a 2.2 this year.

- While a 1.4 rating may look huge for Professional Bull Riding, the overnight marks an 18% decline from the 1.7 for coverage on the comparable date last year.
