The return of NASCAR to cable television was a successful one for TNT Sunday.
The Pocono 500 drew a 3.9 rating with 6.1 million viewers on Sunday afternoon, up 30% and 23% respectively, from a 3.0 rating with 5.0 million viewers last year. The Pocono 500 was the most watched program on cable for the week, finishing 29% ahead of the next most watched program, WWE Raw on USA Network.
This marks the fourth straight week a sports program on TNT has finished as the most watched cable show of the week. The past three weeks, NBA Playoff games on TNT have taken the top spot.
