Ratings for the ACC Championship Game were as mediocre as the entire conference was this year.
Virginia Tech’s win over Boston College drew a 2.9 overnight rating on ABC Saturday afternoon, down 31% from a 4.2 for last year’s title game involving the same two teams, and the lowest rating ever in the young history of the ACC Championship Game.
The three ACC Championship Games prior to this year had drawn at least a 4.0 rating.
Since its inception in 2004, overnight ratings for the ACC Championship Game have declined 48%.
