- FOX: Late game coverage on FOX, featuring Falcons/Vikings, drew a 13.8/26 overnight rating, up 1% from last year.
- NBC: Sunday Night Football drew strong numbers on the back of Panthers/Giants; the 12.9 overnight for the overtime clash of NFC titans marks a 30% increase from a 9.9 last year.
Basketball.
1.9/4: College basketball on CBS, regional (4 PM Saturday)
1.4/3: College basketball on CBS, regional (2 PM Saturday)
- Though it was a light weekend in sports television, CBS can brag that the 1.9 overnight for Purdue/Davidson on Saturday was the highest non-NFL overnight rating for any sporting event on broadcast.
Golf.
1.4/3: Golf on NBC, Chevron World Challenge, Final Round (3 PM Sunday)
1.3/3: Golf on NBC, Chevron World Challenge, Third Round (3 PM Saturday)
- Ratings tanked for what used to be the Target World Challenge. The 1.4 overnight for final round coverage on Sunday was down 33% from a 2.1 last year. Third round coverage on Saturday was down even further; the 1.3 overnight was off 41% from a 2.2 in ’07.
Extreme sports.

0.9/2: Alli Winter Dew Tour on NBC, Breckenridge, Snowboard Superpipe (1 PM Sunday)

0.6/1: LG Action Sports Championships on CBS (1 PM Saturday)
- The 1.7 overnight for the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest was no doubt fueled by the 14.3 for its NFL lead-in. However, ratings were still down from a 1.8 last year, when the program’s NFL lead-in drew a 13.9.
