- CBS drew mixed ratings for its college basketball coverage over the weekend. While the Big Ten and Conference USA title games were up 73% and 10%, respectively, the SEC Championship Game was flat compared to the comparable game in ’07 (last year’s game aired on ESPN2), and the Pac-10 Championship Game was down 25% from ’08.
- The 4.8 overnight for the NCAA Tournament Selection Show was up 9% from last year, and marked the highest overnight for the program since ’05.
- Opposite NCAA basketball, ABC drew a 2.3 overnight for Mavericks/Lakers on Sunday afternoon, down 21% from a 2.9 last year, and the lowest overnight for a Laker game on broadcast since 2006.

- Tiger Woods‘ first appearance on broadcast since last year’s U.S. Open drew strong ratings. The 3.6 overnight for the final round of the WGC-CA Championship was up 9% from last year’s 3.3, and marks the highest overnight rating for a PGA Tour event this season. The 2.2 for third round coverage on Saturday was up 5% from a 2.1 last year.
