Overnight ratings were unavailable for Game 5 of the NBA Finals, but preliminary numbers indicate that the Lakers/Magic series ended on a lower note.
The Lakers’ series-clinching Game 5 victory over the Magic drew 10.3 million viewers and a 4.1/12 among adults 18-49 from 8-11 PM Sunday night, according to preliminary numbers. The final numbers will no doubt rise by a solid margin — last Sunday, Game 2 drew 11 million viewers in the preliminary numbers, and finished with 14.1 million.
Still, Game 5 appears on pace to finish as one of the least viewed games of the Lakers/Magic series.
Overnight ratings for Game 5 were unavailable due to the digital transition. Fast national ratings should be released later today.
ABC won Sunday night easily in total viewers and in the adults 18-49 demo.
