For the third straight week, overnight ratings dropped by double-digits for ABC’s Saturday Night Football.
Regional action featuring Notre Dame/Pittsburgh drew a 4.2 overnight rating on ABC Saturday night, down 29% from a 5.9 for comparable regional action last year, but up 5% from a 4.0 for coverage featuring Connecticut/Cincinnati last week.
The 29% drop in the overnights follows a 51% decline last week and a 36% decline the week before. Saturday Night Football has not had an increase in overnight ratings since October 3.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Iowa/Ohio St. drew a 4.1 overnight rating, down a tick from a 4.2 for last year’s comparable telecast, but up 8% from a 3.6 for coverage in the comparable timeslot last week.
