The night this was posted to the site was the last time (as of 2022) that the Yankees won a World Series — November 4, 2009, when New York defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 of the 2009 Fall Classic.
Interviews include Yankee manager Billy Martin, Yogi Berra, Thurman Munson (in what would ultimately be the final months of his life), Reggie “Mr. October” Jackson, Mike Torrez and — of course — George Steinbrenner, conducted by ABC’s Bill White.
Despite Keith Jackson saying at one point that ABC was not allowed in the losing Dodgers locker room, the video concludes with White interviewing Don Sutton as well.
