The only good professional team in Washington is drawing good numbers.
Tuesday’s Capitals/Bruins game, the Capitals’ franchise-record 11th straight victory, drew a 3.24 rating on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic — the second-highest rating ever for a regular season Capitals telecast on the network.
The record is a 3.3 rating for Penguins/Capitals on January 21.
CSN Mid-Atlantic has drawn three of its four highest regular season Capitals ratings in just the past two weeks alone — including Tuesday’s game, the aforementioned Penguins/Capitals tilt, and Lightning/Capitals on Sunday (2.5).
So far this season, CSN is averaging a 1.4 rating for Capitals telecasts, up 24% from last year, and up 153% from 2007-08.
