FOX will air a pair of primetime regular season MLB telecasts during the 2010 season.
The 26-game MLB on FOX schedule features two regional Saturday night telecasts, each beginning at 7 PM ET.
On May 22, the network will air Yankees/Mets, Red Sox/Phillies, Cubs/Rangers and Tigers/Dodgers. Just over a month later on June 26, the primetime slate will feature Yankees/Dodgers, Red Sox/Giants and Cubs/White Sox.
In a press release, FOX Sports president Ed Goren said the network had been “thinking about” moving regular season telecasts to primetime “for quite some time.” Goren: “[T]his season?s schedule is so strong that the time seemed right.”
In addition to the two primetime games, three telecasts on FOX will begin at the special early time of 3 PM ET. All other telecasts on the network will start at 4 PM ET.
