The second season of Shaq Vs. ended on a modest note Tuesday night.
Tuesday’s season finale of Shaq Vs. drew a 2.4 final rating and 4.257 million viewers on ABC — down 17% in ratings and 4% in viewership from last year’s finale (2.9, 4.432 mil), but up 4% and 11%, respectively, from the previous week (2.3, 3.841 mil).
The episode did have an increase in the key adults 18-49 demographic, outdrawing last year’s finale by 6% (1.8 to 1.7).
Shaq Vs. was the lowest rated of the five original programs on broadcast television Tuesday night, and the second-least viewed. Reality competition Wipeout (ABC; 3.8, 6.933 mil), America’s Got Talent (NBC; 6.7, 11.504 mil) and Minute To Win It (NBC; 3.6, 5.919 mil) put up significantly larger numbers — though Shaq Vs. topped Minute To Win It in the 18-49 demo.
Overall, the second season of Shaq Vs. featured three of the four most-viewed episodes ever of the show, including the top two — the August 3 season premiere (3.1, 5.241 mil) and the August 17 episode (2.6, 4.816 mil).
