Two Washington, D.C., sports media personalities will have some unscheduled free time due to recent controversies.
MASN analyst Rob Dibble will no longer work Nationals games for the network, the Washington Post reports. The decision was made by the Nationals, not MASN, and comes after Dibble criticized star rookie Stephen Strasburg for leaving a game early due to injury.
Dibble was in his second season as a Nationals analyst.
Meanwhile, Washington Post reporter Mike Wise was suspended one month due to a purposefully erroneous news item he posted on a social networking site.
The fake report, concerning suspended Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, was picked up and reported by multiple outlets. Wise has since apologized.
