Ratings and viewership dropped for both games of the Week 7 NFL doubleheader on CBS.
Regional NFL action featuring Steelers/Dolphins drew a 9.4 final rating and 15.308 million viewers on CBS Sunday, down 18% in ratings and 17% in viewership from Week 7 last year (MIN/PIT*: 11.4, 18.512 mil), but up 47% and 56%, respectively, from Week 7 in 2008 (SD/BUF*: 6.4, 9.833 mil).
Though down from last year, the telecast ranks as the top early doubleheader game of the season.
The late game of Sunday’s doubleheader drew a 13.1 and 21.9 million viewers**, down 22% and 23%, respectively, from last year.
The telecast was the first NFL national window of the season to have a decline in ratings, and only the second to have a drop in viewership.
