In the tradition of Tony Kornheiser and Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football, ESPN will use ESPN.com writer Bill Simmons on live NBA coverage later this week.
Simmons will serve as a game analyst for Friday’s Heat/Warriors game on ESPN, the network confirmed to Sports Media Watch. The move was first reported by USA Today.
According to the USA Today report, ESPN plans to officially announce the move on Wednesday.
Simmons will work alongside Dan Shulman and Mark Jackson.
ESPN says there are no additional plans to use Simmons on game coverage.
