The British Open continues to have double-digit growth from last year.
Second round coverage of the 2012 British Open drew a 1.5 overnight rating on ESPN Friday, up 50% from last year (1.0), and up 36% from Thursday’s first round coverage (1.1).
In addition to the primary 7:00 AM-3:00 PM ET telecast window, early morning coverage from 4:30 to 7:00 AM ET drew a 0.6 overnight — up 20% from last year (0.5), but actually down 14% compared to first round coverage on Thursday (0.7).
So far, all four British Open telecast windows on ESPN have been up double-digits compared to last year.
