After last year’s multi-year low, viewership for the ESPY Awards bounced back to a respectable level.
The 2012 ESPY Awards earned 2.415 million viewers on ESPN Wednesday night, up 22% from last year (1.984M), but down 8% from 2010 (2.615M).
This marks the second-largest audience for a live edition of the ESPY Awards over the past decade. Keep in mind the event aired on tape delay from 2004-08.
Wednesday’s telecast also drew a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49, up 20% from last year (1.0), but down a tick from 2010 (1.3).
