NFL Network will be available in over 1.5 million additional homes thanks to a carriage agreement with Cablevision.
Under a multi-year carriage agreement announced Thursday, Cablevision will pick up both NFL Network and the NFL Red Zone channel. The move, according to Sports Business Daily, will put NFL Network in “half or more” of Cablevision’s “3.3 million basic video homes” (Sports Business Daily, 8/16).
According to a separate Sports Business Daily report earlier this month, NFL Network is currently available in 59.590 million homes — trailing both MLB Network (70.150M) and NBA TV (59.821M).
The move leaves Time Warner Cable as the only major cable provider not carrying NFL Network.
