The Bulls/Nets and Warriors/Nuggets series earned solid numbers on TNT Thursday night, topping last year’s comparable Celtics and Lakers games in the process.
Game 6 of the Nuggets/Warriors first round NBA playoff series drew 4.4 million viewers on TNT Thursday, up 1% from Lakers/Nuggets Game 6 last year (4.3M), and up 28% from Mavericks/Blazers Game 6 in 2011 (3.4M).
The game ranks as the third-most viewed of the playoffs on cable, and the seventh-most viewed overall.
Earlier in the night, Nets/Bulls Game 6 drew 4.1 million — up 14% from Hawks/Celtics Game 6 last year (3.6M), and up 6% from Lakers/Hornets Game 6 in 2011 (3.9M).
Keep in mind the 2011 games aired opposite the first round of the NFL Draft.
