Rick Reilly to End Weekly Column
- ESPN writer Rick Reilly will cease his weekly ESPN.com column on July 1, ESPN announced Wednesday via its corporate blog. Reilly will instead focus on his television appearances on “Monday Night Countdown” and “SportsCenter.” Reilly is entering the second year of a contract extension with ESPN. (ESPN Front Row)
Francesa Moves to National TV
- New York sports radio host Mike Francesa is heading to national television. Francesa’s daily radio show will be simulcast on Fox Sports 1 (1-4 PM) and Fox Sports 2 (4-5 PM) each weekday starting March 25, after more than a decade on New York’s YES Network. (Fox Sports)
Baron Davis to Guest on TNT NBA Show
- With most of Turner Sports’ NBA personnel on NCAA Tournament duty, former NBA player Baron Davis will join the “NBA on TNT” studio show March 25. Davis is scheduled to work alongside Matt Winer, Shaquille O’Neal and Rick Fox that night. It is not clear whether the guest appearance will translate into a larger role. (Turner Sports)
