The NFL singleheader window was a decent enough draw on CBS last week.
The Week 14 NFL singleheader drew a 10.6 final rating and 17.6 million viewers on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 12% in ratings and 13% in viewership from last year (12.0, 20.2M) and the second-most watched singleheader on the network this season (seven telecasts).
Only coverage in Week 11 earned a larger audience on CBS (17.9M). Keep in mind six of the seven singleheaders on FOX have done better. Regardless of network, Sunday’s telecast ranks eighth out of the fourteen singleheader windows in both ratings and viewership.
So far this season, 14 of the 22 NFL telecast windows on CBS (not including Thursday Night Football) have had declines in ratings compared to last year. That is actually a better clip than rival FOX, which has had declines for 16 of 22 windows. NBC has only had declines for seven of its 16 telecasts, while ESPN has had declines for eight of 15.
