Viewership for the NHL on NBCSN is down slightly from last year’s near-record pace. In other news, local TV ratings have nearly quadrupled for the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Chicago Bulls had a strong November on CSN Chicago.
NBCSN’s NHL Viewership Down Slightly
- NBCSN averaged 346,000 viewers for regular season NHL coverage through the end of November (18 telecasts), down 3% from the same number of games last year. Keep in mind last season finished as the second-most watched ever on NBCSN (previously VERSUS and OLN), trailing only the lockout-shortened 2013 campaign. (NBC Sports)
Bucks’ Local TV Ratings Up 270%
- Milwaukee Bucks NBA regular season games have averaged a 2.52 rating on Fox Sports Wisconsin, up a whopping 270% from the comparable point last year and a four-year high. The top game of the season-to-date was Bucks/Nets on November 19, a triple-overtime game that featured Bucks coach Jason Kidd facing his former team. (Fox Sports Wisconsin)
Big Increase For Bulls Games in November
- Comcast SportsNet Chicago averaged a 4.78 rating for Chicago Bulls games in the month of November, up 31% from the same month last year (3.66) and up 64% from November 2012 (2.91).
