Big 12 Championship Up From Last Year, 2013
- The Iowa State/Kansas Big 12 Tournament championship game drew a 1.6 overnight rating on ESPN Saturday evening, up a third from Baylor/Iowa State in a later timeslot last year (1.2) and up a tick from Kansas/Kansas State in 2013 (1.5). The game topped the Mountain West championship on CBS (1.2) head-to-head.
Shift From FS1 to ESPN Equals Huge Gains For Pac-12 Championship
- ESPN drew a 1.1 overnight for the Arizona/Oregon Pac-12 Tournament championship game Saturday night, up 175% from UCLA/Arizona on Fox Sports 1 last year (0.4) but down a tick from Oregon/UCLA on ESPN in 2013 (1.2). Three years ago, in its last appearance on broadcast network CBS, the game had a 1.4 overnight.
Second Straight Decline For Mountain West Championship
- The previously mentioned Wyoming/San Diego State Mountain West Tournament championship game drew a 1.2 overnight rating on CBS Saturday evening, down 14% from San Diego State/New Mexico last year (1.4) and down 29% from New Mexico/UNLV in 2013 (1.7).
