One of the highest-profile basketball broadcasters is headed back to television.
Turner Sports NBA analyst Greg Anthony will call the Orlando NBA Summer League for NBA TV, Sports Illustrated reported Friday. The assignment, which begins Saturday and runs through July 10, is the first since his arrest for solicitation in January and his subsequent suspension from both Turner and CBS Sports.
Anthony was the lead college basketball analyst on CBS prior to his arrest, working alongside Jim Nantz and Steve Kerr on CBS/Turner’s joint coverage of the Final Four in 2014. He also served as a studio host for NBA TV’s Fan Night, and was in the running for to serve as TNT’s lead analyst for the NBA.
According to the Sports Illustrated report, no decision has been made as to whether Anthony will return to any of those roles.
It should be noted that Anthony was part of NBA TV’s Summer League roster last year as well.
