The NBA released its 2015-16 schedule on Wednesday, with Cavaliers/Bulls and Pelicans/Warriors opening the season on TNT October 27. That will be followed by Spurs/Thunder and T’Wolves/Lakers on ESPN October 28, Hawks/Knicks and Mavericks/Clippers on TNT October 29, and Heat/Cavaliers and Warriors/Rockets on ESPN October 30.
The Christmas Day slate, which leaked completely before the NBA’s official release, will feature Pelicans/Heat at Noon (ET), Bulls/Thunder at 2:30 PM (ABC), a Cavaliers/Warriors NBA Finals rematch at 5 PM (ABC), Spurs/Rockets at 8 PM (ESPN) and Clippers/Lakers at 10:30 PM (ESPN).
Other notable games include Clippers/Mavericks in Dallas on ESPN November 11 (8 PM) and the second Warriors/Cavaliers rematch on TNT Martin Luther King Day. ABC will bookend its Saturday night NBA series with Cavaliers/Bulls games, one in Cleveland on January 23 and a second in Chicago on April 9.
The Cavaliers and Warriors are scheduled for the maximum number of appearances on ESPN/ABC and TNT, 25. The Clippers (24), Thunder (24) and Bulls (23) round out the five most frequently appearing teams. The Lakers are scheduled for 19 appearances despite missing the playoffs the past two seasons, tying the Western Conference finalist Rockets. The Sixers, Nuggets and Pistons are scheduled for zero games.
