Overnight ratings neared a season-high for the NFL singleheader window.
The Week 12 NFL singleheader window, featuring Giants/Washington in 32% of markets, earned a 13.3 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon — up 3% from coverage featuring Lions/Patriots last year (12.9) and up 16% from coverage on CBS in 2013 (11.5).
The 13.3 overnight is the second-highest of the season for the singleheader, trailing only coverage in Week 9 that featured Packers/Panthers (13.6). The seven singleheader windows on FOX rank among the eight highest rated in the metered markets.
Including Eagles/Lions on Thanksgiving, Sunday’s telecast was just the seventh of the season on FOX to have an increase in overnights (19 total). By comparison, overnights have increased for 9 of 21 telecasts on CBS (not including Thursday Night Football), 12 of 14 on NBC, and seven of 12 on ESPN.
