Big Jump For Duke/N.C. State on CBS
- The Duke/N.C. State college basketball game drew a 1.45 overnight rating on CBS Saturday afternoon, up 48% from Kansas/Texas last year (0.98). UCLA/Oregon had a 1.1 later in the day, up 38% from last year’s 0.8 for the same matchup. Wrapping up the CBS tripleheader, Georgetown/Connecticut scored a 1.0. (via ShowBuzz Daily)
Premier League Dips on NBC, Nears High on NBCSN
- NBC drew a 0.8 overnight rating for the West Ham/Manchester City English Premier League match on Saturday, down 20% from Chelsea/Manchester City last year, which aired over Super Bowl weekend (1.0). The comparable week of the 2013-14 season consisted of midweek matches. Arsenal/Chelsea pulled a 0.65 overnight on NBCSN Sunday morning, the third-highest of the season on cable — behind only the Manchester derby in October (0.66) and Manchester City/Chelsea in week two (0.69). Warriors Solid Again For ESPN
- Friday’s Pacers/Warriors NBA regular season game drew 2.0 million viewers on ESPN; there were no comparable games last year or in 2014. Heat/Raptors drew 1.3 million earlier in the night, up 3% from Bulls/Mavericks last year (1.2M) and down 5% from Clippers/Bulls in ’14 (1.33M to 1.25MM). (via ShowBuzz)
