NASCAR Pocono Rainout Up From Last Pocono Rainout
- Postponed NASCAR Sprint Cup racing from Pocono earned 1.5 million viewers on NBCSN Monday afternoon, slightly ahead of the season’s first Pocono race — which was also postponed to Monday (1.4M). Ratings were not immediately available. Rainout coverage on Sunday delivered a 1.1 final rating and 1.7 million viewers.
NASCAR Xfinity Mixed at Iowa
- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Iowa earned a 0.6 final rating and 1.1 million viewers on NBCSN Saturday night, down a tick in ratings but up 1% in viewership from last year (0.7, 1.0M) and down 25% and 21%, respectively, from 2014 on ESPN (0.8, 1.3M). It earned the second-smallest audience of the season ahead of only Kentucky in June (995K).
Second Edition of NHRA on FOX Up From Previous Week
- Live NHRA racing from Sonoma delivered 998,000 viewers on the FOX broadcast network Sunday afternoon, up 82% from last year (548K) and up 84% from 2014 (543K), when coverage was tape delayed and aired on ESPN2. Compared to coverage from Denver the previous week, which was the first live NHRA telecast ever on broadcast TV, viewership increased 11% from 902,000.
