Fmr. Knicks Analyst Andariese Dies
- Longtime New York Knicks analyst John Andariese died Monday at age 78. Andariese, who had been battling dementia, called Knicks games on the radio or television for four decades from 1972 to 2012, working alongside Marv Albert for the majority of those years. He also worked national pro and college games on ESPN, TBS and NBC. (Newsday 3.13)
USA Today Hires Golf Writer Shackelford
- USA Today Sports Media Group announced Monday that it has hired golf writer Geoff Shackelford to serve as a senior writer for Golfweek, which it acquired late last year. The company has also added his eponymous website. (USA Today)
Traina Returning to SI
- Awful Announcing and former Fox Sports writer Jimmy Traina announced Monday that he is returning to Sports Illustrated, where he worked until 2013, starting next month.
