For the second straight week, NASCAR on TNT was the most watched program on cable, though the numbers were down from last year.
TNT drew a 3.3 rating with 5.1 million viewers for Dale Earnhardt Jr‘s victory at the LifeLock 400 on Sunday, even in ratings but down 3% in total viewers from the comparable race in 2007. The race was the only program on cable last week to draw over 5 million viewers, finishing ahead of the next most watched program — WWE Raw on USA Network — by 9%.
Through two races, TNT is averaging a 3.6 rating with 5.6 million viewers for NASCAR coverage, up 13% and 10% from a 3.2 rating with 5.1 million viewers last year.
