After a season-low for action from Texas, overnight ratings crept back up for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series.
Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup STP 400 from Texas drew a 3.9 overnight rating on FOX, up 5% from last year (3.7), and up a tick from the inaugural race in 2011 (3.8).
The 3.9 overnight is the second-lowest of the season for any NASCAR Sprint Cup race, topping only the NRA 500 from Texas one week earlier (3.5).
For the weekend, NASCAR trailed only ABC’s Lakers/Spurs NBA playoff game as the top sporting on broadcast TV.
