One of ESPN’s most recognizable soccer analysts is moving to Fox Sports. In other news, ESPN’s Mark Jackson will be a studio and game analyst Friday night, and first-year college football analyst Tim Tebow is set to call the Peach Bowl.
ESPN’s Lalas Leaves For Fox Sports
- Fox Sports has hired ESPN soccer analyst Alexi Lalas in the same capacity. Lalas, who had been with ESPN since 2009, will serve as a match and studio analyst for Fox Sports’ various soccer properties, including Major League Soccer and next year’s Women’s World Cup. He is expected to make his debut sometime in the next month. (Fox Sports)
Jackson to Pregame and Game Friday Night
- ESPN NBA analyst Mark Jackson will pull double duty on Friday night, joining Sage Steele and Jalen Rose on ESPN’s NBA Countdown studio show and working Thunder/Clippers with Dave Pasch later in the night. Jackson, who initially joined ESPN/ABC as a studio analyst, is making his first NBA Countdown appearance since rejoining the company last May. (ESPN Media Zone)
Tebow Joins Booth For Peach Bowl
- ESPN SEC Network college football analyst Tim Tebow will join the broadcast booth for the December 31 Peach Bowl, his first non-studio assignment. Tebow, in his first year with ESPN, will work alongside fellow analyst Brock Huard and play-by-play voice Joe Tessitore. (USA Today)
