Odd Channel Has Minimal Impact on Truck Series Viewership
- NASCAR Truck Series racing from Eldora (Rossburg, Ohio) had 619,000 viewers on Fox Business Channel Wednesday night, down 3% from last year (644K) and down 11% from 2015 (696K), both of which aired on Fox Sports 1. This year’s race aired on the cable news outlet to accommodate the Gold Cup on FS1.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Pulls Even at N.H.
- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from New Hampshire earned a 0.8 final rating and 1.2 million viewers on NBCSN last Saturday, exactly even with last year but down a tick and 13% respectively from 2015 (0.9, 1.3M). It was the most-watched Xfinity Series race on cable since Fontana on FS1 in March (1.5M).
IndyCar Toronto Up Live, Down Taped
- Airing immediately after the NASCAR Cup Series, tape delayed IndyCar Series racing from Toronto pulled a 0.32 final rating and 489,000 viewers on NBCSN last Sunday — down 6% in ratings and 8% in viewership from last year (0.34, 530K). Live coverage on CNBC had 187,000 (+9%).
