FOX tied a multi-year high in ratings for last week’s regional action featuring the Yankees and Red Sox.
Regional MLB action featuring Yankees/Red Sox in 81% of markets earned a 2.8 final rating and 4.101 million viewers on FOX last Saturday afternoon, up 65% in ratings and 59% in viewership from the network’s nineteenth telecast last year (CHC/STL*: 1.7, 2.583M), and up 75% and 66%, respectively, from the nineteenth telecast in 2009 (PHI/ATL*: 1.6, 2.474M).
Excluding primetime windows, the telecast ranks as the highest rated (tie), most-viewed regular season telecast on FOX since July 2008 (BOS/NYY*: 3.0, 4.538M).
For the season, the telecast ranks as the third of the season to draw at least four million viewers, compared to just one such telecast all of last year.
